Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 31, 2026

This page is maintained by Falls Apparel to answer common privacy questions about our website and store. It describes our current practices and the tools we use, but it is not a legal certification or independent verification of compliance.

Who we are

Falls Apparel is a small outdoor apparel brand based in central Pennsylvania. We design clothing inspired by the trails, waterfalls, and forests of places like Ricketts Glen State Park. Our website is built and published through Lovable, and our store is powered by Shopify.

What information we collect

When you browse our site, we do not actively collect personal information beyond what your browser and our hosting platform automatically share for the page to load (such as IP address, browser type, and device information).

When you make a purchase or begin checkout, Shopify collects the information needed to fulfill your order: your name, email, shipping address, billing address, payment information, and order details. We do not store payment card details ourselves — those are handled by Shopify and Stripe, our payment processor.

If you join our email list, we store the email address you provide so we can send occasional updates about new releases and field notes.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and fulfill orders
  • Send order confirmations and shipping updates
  • Respond to customer service questions
  • Send occasional email updates if you subscribe
  • Keep the site secure and functioning properly

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this site unless we add them later and update this policy.

Subprocessors and integrations

We rely on a small number of trusted services to run the site and store:

  • Shopify — powers our product catalog, cart, checkout, and order fulfillment.
  • Stripe — processes payments securely through Shopify's checkout.
  • Lovable — hosts and publishes the website.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy and security practices. We choose them because they are built to handle e-commerce data safely, but we are not responsible for their independent platforms or policies.

Cookies and tracking

Our site uses the cookies and local storage necessary for Shopify's cart to work (for example, remembering what you added while you browse). We do not currently use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or analytics trackers. If that changes, we will update this policy.

Data retention

We keep order and customer information for as long as needed to fulfill orders, handle returns or exchanges, and meet legal record-keeping requirements. If you subscribe to emails and later want to unsubscribe, you can use the unsubscribe link in any email or contact us directly.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information. Because we are a small, early-stage brand based in Pennsylvania, we primarily sell to customers in the United States. If you have a request, email us and we will do our best to help.

International orders

We are currently focused on shipping within the United States. If we begin shipping internationally, we will update this policy to address cross-border data transfers and any additional privacy obligations.

Security

We use Shopify's built-in checkout and Stripe for payment processing, which include industry-standard encryption and security measures. We do not store payment details on our own servers. No online system is completely risk-free, so we recommend using strong passwords and keeping your devices secure.

Children's privacy

Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this policy

As our brand grows, this policy may change. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page when it does. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the revised policy.
